Love our body, Body Gratitude.
Our bodies do exactly what we ask it to do every day. Yet we complain, and wish we had a different one, (especially as women)
Have you ever given your body gratitude?
Think about this:
We have 2 amazing feet that walk us through life, everywhere we want to go. Even our toes keep us in balance.
Our ankles are little hinges so that we can move our feet easily as we walk & run.
Likewise, our calves support our whole body weight and our knees, also hinges allow us to jump, run & kneel.
Our thighs (though they may be bigger than we want 😁) carry us every day allowing us to support our hips & upper torso. They give us strength to stand up or even push a bicycle pedal.
Body gratitude
Our hips are the base and support for our upper torso and pelvis that help carry our children in our womb. Our waist & torso small or large are beautiful as they hold many important organs, and carry the womb as well. Our back and spine support all that we do when we are not even thinking about it, how we turn to reach for something~
how we lift, how we bend, etc.
Our arms, our beautiful arms and hands lift our children, hug & hold our loved ones.
Our hands are able to connect with others as we shake a hand, pat a child on the head,
caress our loved one’s cheek.
Our shoulders sometimes feeling like they carry the weight of the world, support our neck and head.
Our strong neck swivels so that we may see all there is around us & gives us support as we lay our head on a comfortable pillow every night to sleep.
Our head! Our amazing head -houses our brilliant brain,
Ears that allow us to hear, Eyes that allow us to see
and Nose that allows us to smell
A mouth that gives us our beautiful smile and the ability to speak loving words, sing beautiful melodies & express our feelings.
Our hair!
Even The Bible even says that God knows the number of every hair on our head.
So Hair must be really important LOL
Did you know we have over 100,000 hairs on our whole body, keeping us warm in the winter, and as we sweat allows each strand to help us cool down in the summer.
Our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made!
We are beautiful creations!
So today before you are able to allow your mind & beautiful mouth to complain about something that is hurting or aching, or “just not good enough”…ask yourself this:
Where would you be without this beautiful body?
Whether you’re too heavy or too thin or to this or to that. Give gratitude to your body today for it carries your beautiful amazing incredible soul.
It is the temple in which you live.
Your temple is beautiful, and strong, and Able.
Let’s give credit & Love to our bodies today!
Love,
